The Helen Clark Foundation’s new book, Facing Up to our Future, brings together 21 New Zealand specialists to examine the choices shaping the country’s next chapter. My chapter, “Auckland’s Unrealised Primacy: a National Economic Choice”, argues that Auckland’s performance is not a regional issue, but a national economic one.
